What are my chances for grad school?

For MA or Ph.D programs in clinical psych with a 3.2 gpa, 1100 GRE, and over a year of both research and volunteer experience in a mental health setting?

What are my chances for grad school?
your chances are good. At least you took the GRE. Many people these days evade the GRE and end up going to a slammer school such as the University of Phoenix.

You will qualify for a lot of schools. USC requires only a 3.0 and "decent" GRE scores whatever that may be. Just keep in mind these aren't the only two factors admissions committees look at.
Reply:Dr. S. makes good points. I'd add that a couple of really important things are a) your own letter of intent (whatever it gets called) and b) letters of reference from your professors. For "a" make sure you do two things. First, get help from one of your professors with whom you are on very good terms. We know what graduate admissions committees do and do not want to see. Second, make sure the spelling is 100% correct. For "b" this is absolutely crucial. Those letters are of supreme importance. If you can possibly get one of those letters from a professor who him/her self went through or was otherwise associated with the program you are applying to that letter will carry especial weight.

Good luck.
Reply:Sounds like you have a good chance. No matter what a college tell you they always accept students with a lower score than what they quote is the minimum for acceptance into that school.
