If this were your child~ please read and contact your congress persons. we must pass the bill for the children

would everyone be willing to please read what this Congressional act is for? It is bi-partison, and it is for the children. it literal will take an "Act" of congress for money to be designated for cancer research. Yet, we are spending millions on athlets who may.may not have taken steriods. To me the priorities are backwards. Please read the act, and if you feel moved to do so, contact your Congress-person.

Thank You~ info pasted below.

Let's go a step further make sure that ALL children have good, affordable preventative medical care.
Reply:Lets take it two steps further and make government give EVERYONE free EVERYTHING!

If healthcare is a basic right, what about food?? How can The Children live with food? And shelter? And clothes? It's just totally unfair that the evil rich greedy profiteers have all the good stuff while the working man has to work!
Reply:Believe when I say this but it really is up to private research to come up with a cure. Cancer has been studied for a long time now and yet no cure exists. Maybe just maybe there is no cure.

We spend millions on aids research although it really only affects a certain group of people and yet again no cure.

Maybe some diseases have no cure and the govt spending more money through grants is not the answer.

If the people who are doing the research can keep applying for grants where is there incentive to actaully find the cure? They have no incentive so let doctors who work for pharmoseutical companies find the cures in the private market so when a cure is found if possible then a company can make money for the cure.

The govt needs to stay out of some research like embryonic stem cell, cancer, and aids.

I know this sounds mean and that I do not care about the children but that is not the case I assure you.

I am ready for the many thumbs down but this is MY opinion.

I think congress was wrong to look into the HGH and steroids use also. They wasted time that could have been used to get the Protect America Act done but no they wanted to grandstand to get their names in the paper to get RE-ELECTED. This is why I do not like govt grants. They are not given out to productive people just people who need meam money.
